- There are different ways to reach Pattaya from Bangkok like limousine service direct from the airport, taxi or bus this is the best and cheapest way. Air condition buses leave every 30 minutes from Bangkok’s Eastern bus terminal. The terminal is located on Sukhumvit road at Soi Ekamai this bus station can be easy reached by taxi from your hotel.
- When you arrive at the bus terminal you have to buy tickets first before entering the bus. Ticket counter is right beside all the counters in the arrival hall. Tickets cost around 100 Thai Baht for one way trip and takes 2 hours depends on the traffic in Bangkok. Best time to leave the capital is 13:00 PM on this time of the day the traffic will be very less and you can easy leave the city without any big traffic jams.
- When you arrive in Pattaya you can use one of the small pickup trucks that stop in front of Pattaya’s bus station to travel to your hotel or destination of choice. If you have any questions regarding Pattaya or would like to share your experience feel free to post a comment on my blog.

- Facilities and infrastruture are 100% in place mostly furnished to a stunning degree of luxury and with a keen eye for detail. International super market chains and retail stores are available all over the town offering all what tourists fancy at home no matter where they come from, they can also get it in Pattaya. Everything you need, want and wish for is available and you will not have to look any further.
- Neighbouring beaches such as Jomtien beach just a few minutes South of Pattaya offers water scooters and jeeps for rent to explore Pattaya Bay or neighbouring beaches. If you want solitude take a drive of half an hour to either South or North and you will find beaches just like from a Bounty advertisement with white beaches, lush palm trees, blooming Orleander and not a soul around.

- The Pinnacle Jomtien Resort is one of the well established hotels in Pattaya It is located near the Ambassador Hotel and just a 15 minutes drive from the city center. When you enter the hotel, first thing you notice is the quiet and serene atmosphere. The reception offers a good and fast service and just like the other 99% of the Thai, the staff is very friendly. Opposite the reception is a tailor located, this shop will provide us with quality tailored shirts and pants for an inexpensive price. Lots of material to choose from, be it silk or cashmere here is the chance to get properly dressed and it only cost a fraction of what we would have to pay at home. Bye bye mass production Armani - here I will have MY suit made - unique and exactly fitting .
- After we have checked in, one of the staff carries our bags to our room. The rooms are clean and all is well organized, nicely furnished and in fact a bargain, considering what we have paid at their reception desk. Rooms offer hot water, beds and bathrooms are of a good size. We have a mini bar with all kinds of drinks and a variety of snacks. Yes and here is the beer, nice and cool, comes just right on this hot day. This is a great place to start our holiday! How about some T.V.? English BBC - CNN - 6 movie channels and also Thai channels with bi-lingual sound. Also which I find amazing is that they show new films here on T.V. they don’t even broadcast yet at home.
- After a refreshing shower we go off to check out at the swimming pool. I am pleasantly surprised because there are 2 very nice big pools to choose from, this is a kind of luxury we like and we feel truly spoiled. After a couple of rounds of swimming we decide to explore the area. One of the pools is located next to a beautiful, lush and large tropical garden, all very well kept and looked after. Lots of flowers, trees in all kind of sizes and shapes it’s simply great if you love nature like I do. There are sun shades and comfortable chairs to relax and read a book or just look at the fantastic surroundings and have a chat with somebody. A man is practicing Tai-Chi on the green extensive lawn, another group plays cricket . Off we go towards the beach. Here we find a wide variety of water sports offered, like windsurfing, jet-ski and sailing is also available. We are delighted to have found this place.
- We like best to play beach volleyball so it’s understandable that we are thrilled when we see that there is big net stretched across the beach. A girl tells us that we can ask the pool boy for the ball and yes she gets her buddies for a match. The pool boy not only hands us the ball but also joins us for a match. Great game by the way, even if we have lost really bad and shameful - must be the Jet-lag!
- Best off all is: its free with no additional charges at all, starting from the events to the entertainment and making use of the sport facilities, like the gym. Also worth to mention is the food it’s just delicious! This is a great place and we will be back for sure.
